Two kinds of business, two different systems

This is the one decision worth getting right before you spend anything. Selling garments and making garments are different problems, and the same software does not solve both well.

OUR FLAGSHIP · TRADING & RETAIL

If you sell garments — SwilERP

Shops, showrooms, fashion chains, textile and apparel wholesalers and distributors. SwilERP handles the counter, the godown and the variants: size-colour-style matrix, barcode billing, seasonal schemes and GST. This is what most of our garment customers run, and it is the product we know best after 30 years with SWIL.

PARTNER · MANUFACTURING

If you make garments — LogicERP

Garment and textile manufacturing units, and export-oriented production. Cutting, stitching and finishing tracked as real processes, with style-wise BOM, job work, material planning and process-wise costing. We are a LogicERP Diamond Partner and implement it where production, not billing, is the hard part.

Not sure which side you fall on? Many businesses do both — a manufacturing unit with its own showrooms, for instance. Tell us how you work and we will map it out honestly, including where one system is enough.

What we set up, by the kind of business you run

A counter, a godown and a factory floor each need something different.

On the trading side — what SwilERP handles

The things a general billing package gets wrong about garments: variants, tags, seasons and GST slabs.

Size-colour-style matrix — unlimited variants against one product, each combination with its own stock, barcode and price.
Barcode & tag printing — print price tags and barcode labels for every variant, in your own shop.
Fast counter billing — scan the barcode, or search by style, colour and size when the tag is missing.
GST applied correctly — the right rate by MRP applied automatically, not left to whoever is at the counter.
Alteration management — orders assigned to tailors and the customer told when it is ready.
Seasonal stock control — plan seasonal buying, spot slow-moving styles, run clearance without losing track.
Promotions & schemes — flat discounts, percentage-off and buy-more-save-more, applied automatically.
Style-wise reporting — what sold, what did not, and what it actually earned you.
Multi-store — transfers between showrooms and centralised purchasing.
Desktop or cloud — full offline control at the shop, or cloud access from anywhere.

Alongside SwilERP

Two more Swil products we set up with it, depending on how your counter and godown actually run.

At the counter & in the field

SwilPOS

Billing and order-taking on a phone or tablet — for a busy shop floor, and for salesmen raising orders at customer counters. Barcode scanning, sales orders, invoicing, receipts and outstanding recorded on the spot, with two-way sync to your live SwilERP data using the same users and masters as the desktop.

Godown & warehouse

SwilSORT

SwilERP's complete warehouse management, run from the floor on SwilSORT — goods receipt with automatic putaway suggestions, bin and rack level location tracking so any item is found instantly, optimised pick lists that cut walking time, packing and dispatch, returns and damaged-goods handling, and throughput, utilisation and accuracy reporting. Barcode scanning runs right through receiving, putaway, picking and dispatch, across unlimited warehouses with inter-warehouse transfers.

On the manufacturing side — what LogicERP handles

Where the hard part is production, not billing.

Style-wise BOM — single and multi-level, with estimated raw-material cost and variance against actual.
Material Requirement Planning — automated raw-material calculation against orders, reducing over-buying.
Job work & outsourcing — in-house and job-worked processes tracked in one place.
Process flows — sequential, parallel, assembly and mill process flows as your line actually runs.
Batch, lot & bundle movement — with fabric bale-wise inventory and rack/bin warehouse allocation.
Process-wise costing — cost tracked per process and per part, including piece-rate labour.
Order tracking by stage — tell a buyer exactly which stage their order is sitting at.
Quality control — inspection parameters, process rejection study and standard instructions per operation.
Tech pack & measurement charts — specifications held against the style.
Barcode & RFID — tracking across the production cycle, with real-time dashboards.

Questions garment businesses ask us

The things we are asked most often before a changeover.

Does the software handle size and colour variants?

Yes. SwilERP uses a size-colour-style matrix, so you can define unlimited variants against one product and each combination carries its own stock level, barcode and price. For textile wholesale the same matrix works design-wise — by design, size, colour and fabric type.

Can I print barcode labels and price tags myself?

Yes. Barcode and tag printing is built in, so you can print price tags and barcode labels for each size and colour variant in the shop, and bill by scanning the barcode or searching the style code.

Can it track alterations?

Yes. Alteration orders can be recorded against the sale, assigned to a tailor, and the customer notified when the garment is ready — so nothing is lost between the counter and the tailoring table.

How does GST work for garments with different price points?

GST on garments varies with MRP, and SwilERP applies the correct rate automatically on the invoice rather than leaving it to whoever is billing. Invoices are GST compliant, with the returns data your accountant needs.

Can I handle seasonal schemes, discounts and clearance?

Yes. Flat discounts, percentage-off and buy-more-save-more offers can be set up and applied automatically, and season-end clearance is supported alongside reporting that shows which styles are moving and which are stuck.

I manufacture garments rather than sell them. Is it the same software?

No — and this is the main decision to get right. Retail shops, showrooms and textile wholesalers run on SwilERP, our flagship product. Garment and textile manufacturing needs production planning, style-wise BOM, job work and costing, which is where we implement LogicERP instead. We are a partner for both, so we fit the system to how you actually work rather than pushing one product at everybody.

Does it handle job work and outsourced processes?

Yes, on the manufacturing side. LogicERP tracks in-house, outsourced and job-worked processes together, with batch, lot and bundle movement, process-wise costing and quality checks including process rejection study.

If we switch, do we lose the data in our current software?

No. We move it across. Whatever you are running at the moment, your masters — customers, suppliers and items — along with your transaction history can be brought into SwilERP, so you go live with your own business already loaded rather than an empty system and a year of history in a filing cabinet. Bringing the data over is part of the setup we do, not a separate project you pay for later.

Do you cover my area outside Kolkata?

Yes. Beyond Kolkata, Howrah and Hooghly we work through a network of sub-dealers covering the whole of Midnapore including Egra and Contai, plus Berhampore, Purulia, Bankura, Siliguri, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, Cooch Behar and the rest of West Bengal. Sales and setup visits are made on site; day-to-day support is delivered online, so help reaches you in minutes rather than waiting for someone to travel.
